Aphids, Figs And Growing Your Own Soil

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Image via Wikipedia"][/caption]

"Aphids aren't all bad" claims the headline, but "Gardeners know aphids as tiny, squishy pests that can suck the life right out of plants and, as if that weren't enough, leave behind a sticky, nasty mess"

Squirrels, Tulips And Green Oranges

[caption id="" align="alignright" width="300" caption="Image via Wikipedia"][/caption]

It's time to start thinking about planting bulbs to flower in the spring, but if like most of us you have squirrels in the area, you need to plan how you can protect the bulbs. I found this article by Cis

Helenium With Persistant Red Admiral

Last year I planted a helenium in one of my herbaceous beds and this is the second year that it has bloomed profusely. The other day I noticed a Red Admiral butterfly on the plant. I was able to go back into the house to collect my camera and then return to find the butterfly still there so I could

New Version 1.9.0.9.

A new version 1.9.0.9. has recently been issued and is now available from the download page. There do not appear to be any new features added to this version which I assume is more a case of improving the software.

Still no sign of version 2 and I am begining to wonder whether there ever will be. Joe Clayton seems to be spending all his time on his new creation Playit2 which has frequent updates in the way that MagniBar did when it first came out. Even so I still find MagniBar useful both for parking destop icons and for the software features and I hope you do too.

You can download the new version from the download page as usual.

Where Is MagniBar Version 2?

In my last post way back in mid December I told you that a new version 2 would be issued in a few days. This was based on information from Joe Clayton, the developer of MagniBar, who indicated that version 2 would be issued shortly after the Christmas holiday. In the past new versions have been issued frequently, but on this occasion Joe appears to have been sidetracked by other projects.

Joe's new products are Best 10 Software Creator and Playit, neither of which are yet on general sale. I have purchased the Best 10 Software Creator and the first products that I have created have been placed on the MagniBar Lucky Dip page which you can access from the Special button.

Rest assured that as soon as MagniBar version 2 appears, I will let you know here.
